Program Overview

Dr. Kent Sharples, President of Daytona Beach Community College,)

... The program schedule includes several activities with high level government officials in education and economic development among others, including President Leonel Fernández. We will also visit the site for the first community college in the Dominican Republic and other educational institutions. Finally, we will tour various locations of outstanding natural beauty and learn about the Dominican people and their culture.

Program Details
We have estimated that the entire 8-day trip can cost approximately US$3,000.00, which would include airfare (from your departure city to Santo Domingo and back), hotel (covering all 7 nights), and a program fee. Airfare and hotel are participant's responsibility. Program fee will cover: meals, entrance fees, transportation, tourist cards, and incidentals. Please contact DBCC coordinator if you wish to make any individual travel arrangements beyond the trip dates.
