The winner
of this year’s Werner Kubsch Award for Outstanding Achievement in
International Education is well known to many in this room. |
||||
This person
has had lifelong passion for international education. He has enriched
the lives of hundreds of students, faculty and administrators by improving
their understanding of, and experiences with other countries and cultures.
He has provided huge leadership for internationalizing the curriculum
of his college; for developing student and faculty enrichment programs;
creating study abroad and faculty exchange programs; and establishing
international sister college relationships. |

In addition,
the winner of this year’s Award has been highly engaged in CCID
activities for many years. He has represented his college as their International
Education Director; he has undertaken grant writing; he has assisted in
conference planning; developing marketing materials; planning itineraries
for international visitors; presenting workshops; and – this will
give away the name of the winner – editing the CCID Newsletter.
His leadership and involvement in establishing the Centre for Vocational
Education, Chennai, India, has been instrumental in the growth of community
colleges throughout the Indian Sub-continent. |
