Welcome to CCID

Community Colleges for International Development, Inc. (CCID) is a consortium of community and technical colleges from around the world who value access, quality and the global perspective as vital components to workforce development and higher education. The CCID network provides leadership and opportunities for institutions to better prepare graduates with the global competencies necessary to succeed and excel in the 21st century workplace.

The mission of CCID is to provide opportunities for building global relationships that strengthen educational programs and promote economic development. This means that our activities and programs are broad, deep and focused on issues from the global perspective as they relate primarily to two-year colleges and the equivalent outside the United States.

CCID supports its member colleges (and their students, faculty and community) through a wide range of programming to keep their constituents competitive in the global economy. We provide multiple methods to share global expertise among members – from conferences and special training programs, to support for comprehensive internationalization, to professional development opportunities.

CCID is proudly managed by a Board of Directors comprised of community and technical college presidents. These are the men and women with their hands on the engine that drives much of the economic growth in their communities.

“Community” is no longer defined geographically, and community colleges must respond to this reality. CCID convenes the energy and expertise of its members to ensure that all involved in educating the workforce understand the local applications of globalization.

We welcome you to join us in leading the internationalization movement.
